not so new, but I now exclusivly use a sadowsky outboard pre amp. Small enough to fit in my gig bag, and sounds awesome. Got a DI, so i plug it right into the PA. I can take the bus to gigs. if I have to use an amp, I use a roland cube, and still go DI with the pedal. Awesome small setup.

New bass. Finally got a five string. Before the haters start hatin' I got this for use in a job, Im going to be workin with carnival cruise lines playing in the show band. And some charts just call for those low notes. It's a MTD Kingston Z series. Sounds amazing, and because they have an assymentrical neck (the higher strings neck is thinner then the lower, think nike swoosh shaped) it feels really really nice in the hands.
